Issue with RD1000 and Backup Exec 11d

Hi all,
we want to use backup Exec 11d with an Dell RD1000 on a HP ProLiant DL360 G5 Server.

When we boot up the Server, the RD1000 is recognize as a normal USB drive but on Backup Exec, we cant choose it as a backup drive, it isnt even listed, so its not chooseable.

So right now we must use the integrated NTbackup of Windows to run the Daily backup.

Any idea why we cant chose the RD1000 on Backup Exec?

With best regards!

Mirko

Ps. all latest updates are installed through live update, as well the newest Firmware is installed on the RD1000

Make sure you create a removal backup to disk folder with the unit as the target.

If you get Backup Exec 11d to work with your RD1000, I'd be very interested in learning how you did it.  I spent the better part of this afternoon trying to get a BE 11d test job to run with a removable B2D folder on my RD1000.  No luck.  I've read the manual and looked through tech support docs on Symantec's web site, but I must be missing something.  It keeps telling me that I have insufficient online or nearline media. I'm beginning to think that BE 11d is just too complicated for me to understand.
