MD1000 can use as shared storage for cluster

Dear Sir,

Hi,

I have two questions, kindly explain me.

Q-1: Can we use MD1000 as a shared storage for MS-Windows cluster?

Q-2: Can we add another MD1000 storage in existing storge to add more capacity?

Thanks & waiting for your response.

Q1: No; you'll need to purchase an MD3000 or MD3000i and an MD1000 could then be daisy chained off of this for additional storage (you want to make sure the MD1000 is at least on the A03 firmware (A04 is the latest and has been around 2+ years now, so it's a better choice).

Q2: Yes, assuming you don't have your MD1000 is split mode, you can daisy chain up to 2 MD1000's off of the first MD1000 (or off of an MD3000(i)). If you only have 1 cable going from your PERC5E/PERC6E to your MD1000, you can even connect up to 3 more MD1000's off of the other port on the PERC controller.
