MD1220 + H800 + SATA SSD = working?
Hello,
will it work if I put Non-Dell SATA SSDs in a MD1220 and connect it with a Perc H800 (latest Firmware installed)?

Hello Afx_DL,
In some case you can use non dell drives in an MD1220 and get them to be seen and work. I have seen some customer that have been able to do so however you might get some weird alerts or error messages about the drives seen by the PERC card. Also, I would not use non dell drives unless the system is no longer under a support contract.

Thanks for the answer so far.
I have another question regarding your answer: Although there are some alerts and error messages, will functionalities like hot spare work when a drive is faulty?

Yes, they will as long as the hotspare drive is seen online.
