MD3000 degraded channel and path, typical fix not working
I've got an MD3000/MD1000 running for the last 10 years or so on MS servers. Usually, with no problems other than occasional drive failures and battery replacements. I updated to the latest firmware during the last OS update to Server 2016.
I've been through the dreaded "degraded physical disk channel" error before and managed to clear that up with the typical SMcli commands (clear allPhysicalDiskChannels and set status=optimal), but that's not working this time.
After successfully running those commands, I'm still getting two errors:
1) Degraded Physical Disk Channel
Storage array: BaSIC_Array2
Degraded physical disk channels: 0, 1
2) Individual Physical Disk - Degraded Path
Storage array: BaSIC_Array2
Degraded physical disk paths:
Channel: 0
Related physical disks: (2, 7)
All my virtual disks are sitting on RAID10, I reseated disk 0:2 to no avail. There is no disk 0:7 (doesn't that refer to the controller somehow like SCSI of old?)
I've also gathered support information but I'm at a loss to clearly identify what's going on.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,
Do you have a backup of the data if necessary? The first thing to test is to swap the EMMs and cables to see if the error moves. If it does move, swap just the cables back and see if it moves back. If it doesn’t it probably is an EMM issue.

Thanks for responding Josh. Turns out I'm not automatically subscribed to topics I create - which is odd.
Anyhow, I do have backups and I will try swapping the EMMs and cables to see if the error migrates with them. I'll report back when I get a chance to implement that.
