We had a drive fail on our MD3000.  One of the hot spares is currently sparing for the failed disk.  I used a Dell replacement drive (ST3300656SS       with firmware HS0A (drive label reads HS09)) but the MD by-passed the drive.  The current firmware version of the MD3000 is 06.70.15.60 (first gen I believe based on this).  What's my course of action to get this drive to work in the MD3000?  Now I do have another drive I could try, a Hitachi HUS154530VLS300 FW: B590)...can I pull the by-passed drive and replace with the Hitachi to see if that one works?  Any commands I'd need to issue before pulling a drive that has a status of Replaced?
