What I would do is to remove controller 1 from your MD3000 & then remove the raid battery for about 2 minutes and then reinsert the raid battery back into the controller & insert the controller back into the MD3000.  Let the controller fully boot up & once that is done then try to access the serial console again to see if you can get in.  

When it talks about the password reset it is referring to the Array password that you may have put on the system so no one can access the MD3000 or MDSM & make changes to the array without using the password.

Thanks Sam. I had to move that one to the side for a little while. When I get back to it, hopefully by the end of this week, I will give that a shot. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Nevertheless, I appreciate your quick response and sound advice.
