MD3200 controller added to existing enclosure

MD3200 enclosure with two controllers.  One failed.  Got a new one and added to the enclosure.  This is what the controller does in Putty and it goes NO FURTHER.

Turned out to be a bad controller.  Got a new one that plugged in and worked just fine.

Thank you for your help.

Hello James,

Did the replacement controller come from another MD3200i?  One thing that you can try is to remove the Raid battery from the controller for about 30 minutes. After that then put the battery back in the controller and insert the controller into your enclosure.  What is the Dell part# that is on your replacement controller?

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

The replacement controller did come from another MD3200.  Note that this is an MD3200, not the MD3200i.  Direct Attach, not iSCSI.

We took the battery out for half an hour and tried again.  Same response.  Interestingly enough, we put the battery from the newer until into the one that failed and tried that one - exact same response.  Ideas?

Hello James,

Can I get you to provide me with a support bundle from your MD3200 so that I can review it?  I will send you a private message so that you can send me the logs.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
