MD3200 -ERROR READING FILE (errno = 0x610001)

Hello.

i have MD3200 after moving it a rack it dosent boot up and mgmt is not accessible 
when connected a serial cable i saw the error :

Bad File CRC after decompression
FAILED - ERROR READING FILE (errno = 0x610001)

any ideas?

Hello Dylan,

not sure if answered in the other thread...

when we replaced the controller it booted , we replaced the other controller as well.

both are working now, thank you for the help.

Hello,

 

If possible, getting a support bundle would be very helpful. A boot capture would also be valuable.

 

Here is how to capture the boot up:

Startup a terminal emulation program like putty, teraterm, minicom or hyperterminal using these terminal settings (115200-8-n-1).

Pull the controller from the system & wait about 3 minutes then insert it back into your MD3200 and you should see the controllers boot process.

Speaking generally, that would indicate some degree of file corruption, but this information I'm requesting may help clarify what and what can be done.

the same firmware was on both controllers.

we tried to boot with only one , still the same.

Hello jio_tower,

 

Do you know if the firmware is the same on both controllers? Do you know which was the firmware version before the movement?

 

Can you try unseating one of the controller and try with just the other controller?

 

Please let me know how it goes.

Were you able to export a support bundle? The boot capture portion you shared is helpful, but the support bundle would be significantly more valuable in finding a resolution.

With that being the case, we'll need the full boot capture. This only appears to be a portion of it. I can see that there is an RTC error and a lot of the times you can boot passed it, but in this case, something is stopping it. I'm hoping the full boot capture may detail why. Is what you shared before the totality of what the system is outputting for the boot capture?

Like your other posting the system is in lockdown. So the controller is not able to boot but you need to clear the lockdown state and try again. If lockdown happens again or controller doesn't boot then most likely the controller needs to be replaced. You can try swapping controllers as well to see if it helps any, but will need to clear lockdown again most likely.
