MD3860i - 10G ports?
So I'm looking at the MD3860i as a possible SAN for our organization next year, but I'm getting some conflicting information from the website. The specs say the ports are 10GBASE-T, which is the Copper version of 10G, but when I look at the picture of the back of the appliance, they appears to be SFP type slots (hopefully SFP+). The documentation doesn't seem to say anything about the physical aspect of the ports, just that they are 10G ports.
Anyone familiar with this series and can comment? If they are SFP+ slots, can I just plug any module in or do they need to be Dell specific modules? I found something regarding that for the 3860F Fiber Channel enclosures (specific Dell SFP+ FC modules to use), but nothing for the 3860i.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response Sam, however I was asking if the 10G ports on the device were Copper (10GBASE-T) or SFP+ type ports (not for FC but regular Ethernet). I have since learned they are the copper style. Thanks!

Hello Jack Dobiash,
With the MD3860i the ports are 10GB Ethernet. Now if you wanted to get FC then you would need to have the FC controller for the MD3860f.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
