ME4024 ADAPT Usable Space Formula with mixed Drive
Hello All;
I am trying to design my storage based on Adapt , it is not a big environment , I want to have 12x1.92TB chepaer drive +3x3.84TB . I was wondering how can I calculate the usable space when we have a mix drive? I saw another post with for ((Ndisks - 2)*DiskSize)-20% , but it dose not work in my scenario.

Hello Alireza.M,
In your case, since you are using different drive sizes you will automatically lose 2 of your largest drives(7.68TB) for spare capacity. This will leave you with 26.88TB. You will lose 20% (5.38TB) to overhead which leaves you with 21.5TB of usable space. Here is the link to Administrator guide & if you look on page 18 it explains about Adapt. https://dell.to/2ZNIgho
