Moving An Storage Array 220s

Has anyone moved a 220s from one server to another? I am upgrading the server hardware from a PV745 to a PE2850. I want to connect the storage array to the 2850. will I need to recreate the volume? I would rather not have to restore all of the data from tape. There are 6 drives connected to the 220s with data on the volume.

TIA

If you are moving the raid controller with the 220 from the 745 to the 2850, then all you need to do is the following:
1) Make sure you have a complete backup
2) Shutdown the 745
3) Disconnect the 220
4) Move the PERC controller from the 745 to the 2850
5) Connect the 220 to the PERC that is now in the 2850
6) Boot into the OS and fix permissions and create shares

If you are using a different PERC controller then you would do the following steps:
1) Make sure you have a complete backup
2) Shutdown the 745
3) Disconnect the 220
4) Connect the 220 to the PERC controller in the 2850
5) Boot into the PERC controller BIOS that the 220 is now attached to. You should get a configuration mismatch message during post.
6) In the controller BIOS, Choose Configure->View/Add Configuration.
7) It will tell you of the configuration mismatch again. Read the configuration from disk and save it.
8) Boot into the OS and fix permissions and create shares.
