PERC 6/iR detecting 6Gb/s drive as 1.5Gb/s

I've connected two Seagate Barracuda ST32000641AS 2TB drives to the PERC 6/iR controller in my Precision T7400. The drives support 6Gb/s and the controller supports 3Gb/s. The problem is that the controller detects the drives at 1.5Gb/s. Is there anything I can do to operate these drives at 3Gb/s?

I have verified that the drives are configured for "Normal operation" per this diagram from Seagate:

I think you mean the SAS6iR, not the PERC6iR (would at most be the PERC6i).

You can check for a newer firmware or driver, but I don't think it'll make a difference in performance as most SATA drives can at most sustain ~110MB/s, so the 150MB/s from the 1.5Gbit/s connection is more than what the drive can provide in throughput.

Obviously, the data in the drive cache (usually 64MB at most) would transfer faster with a 3Gbit/s connection, but that only helps a little bit due to the small cache size.

I ran into another problem with the SAS6iR (on my T7500) myself; it won't recognize drives over 2TB (my Hitachi 3TB drive). I had to move the drive to one of the ICH10 ports on my motherboard instead of the SAS ports.

Maybe someone else has any ideas.
