i'm having the same issue. has anyone figured out what's going on? i'm running a precision 360 with the python drive and a siig ap-40 scsi controller. i think whatever is causing this issue is screwing with my veritas backupexec software.
I called Veritas support and found out that this is a known issue that they are working on resolving. No time frame for a solution was given, the only fix at this moment is to uninstall Veritas.

I'm having the same problems with NT Backup as Jeremy and would be very grateful for any help anyone may have.
The system is the same as described above but it runs Windows 2003 Server.
Cheers
