I have a 110T that just started doing the same thing. Have you heard anything or figured it out

Well that sounds about like what is happening here. This client just moved into a new building and they decided to put their servers in an area still under construction. They are freaking covered in sheetrock dust. Looks like it is time to buy new equiptment and tell them "I told you so"

Well, yes and no.  I bought a new VS80 drive and put in the 112T and it has been working great.  When I took the old drive out, I blew some canned air into it and had a huge dustcloud billow out (we are a wholesale nursery and not the cleanest place in the world).  I put the old drive back into the other bay of the 112T and it started working again.  I have had problems with it not cooperating twice since then (not the tape-eject problem, more of a SCSI recognition problem), but a reboot of the server has fixed it back up.  I'm not convinced that the dust was the only problem, but its all I was able to figure out.

Hope that helps a little.
