Powervault 112T tape ejects right after inserting
We have a PowerVault 112T that has been working fine for 3 months. Now, when we put a tape in, it sits there for a few minutes with the flashing green light and then ejects the tape. It ejects the cleaning tape as well. I have not found any errors on the server that runs it. What can be done to troubleshoot this problem?

The 112T refers to the enclosure the tape drives are mounted in. If you could provide the actual tape drive type (ie VS80, LTO, DDS4 ) or the service tag on the unit it will be easier for someone to narrow in on your problem.
Does this problem happen with new tapes you are using or does it also eject tapes you have written to in the past?

Sound like a hardware problem w/ your tape drive.
I would try:
1. disconnect SCSI cable from the 112T enclosure to isolate the tape drive from the server.
2. power cycle the enclosure.
3. take a tape that was previously loaded in your other VS80 and try to load it into your "bad" drive.
If the tape is still being ejected there is a strong possibility the drive has a hardware problem you will be unable to fix.
**The VS80 WILL eject media immediately that has been previously written in a DLT7000 or DLT8000 drive but should not have problems w/ other VS80 tapes.
Hope this helps.
