CleanNow = cleaning light, therefore use cleaning tape. if it keeps happening it may either be a bad tape or drive head fault.

Hello jtolent1,
When you see a TA20 flag that means that the heads on the tape drive are dirty & need to be cleaned. Now if you have used a cleaning media on the drive & the error still comes up when a new data tape is inserted then I would try & clean the drive with a new cleaning tape about 2-3 times & see if it can clean the heads. If you are still getting the error then we will need to look at the tape drive log to see what is going on with the drive.
The TA39 is wanting you to run some Diags on the system as it is not able to pass itself test. Now if the TA39 was the only flag that happen then you would want to run a random moves test about 30 cycles, but since you have the cleaning flag first then the TA39 is pointing to the drive needing to be cleaned.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
