Powervault-MD3600i connection problem

Morning All,

I've been asked to deploy a Dell MD3600i PowerVault as an ISCSI to a Windows Server 2008R2; I've never use this device before, so I'll explain to you what i've did step by step:

1. I've connect the Dell MD 3600i on management port to the Main Switch(Dell 192.168.2.5)

2. Form the Windows Server 2008R2(192.168.2.3) I was been able to run the MDSS and find the MD3600i.

3. I've connect the Dell MD ISCSI Port 1 and the second Network Card of the Windows Server with a Cat 6 UTP.

4.On the Windows Server, the second network card(192.168.2.10) and on the Dell MD3600i the ISCSI port 1(192.168.2.11).

The problem it's appear  when, on the MDSS i'm trying to connect this link, i'm having this error:

Thanks for your support.

iSCSI should be on a separate network or at least a separate VLAN. This also means you need to use a different set of subnets for iSCSI than you use for your LAN.

So if your LAN is 192.168.2.x, you can leave the iSCSI on the factory defaults of 192.168.130.x and 192.168.131.x. Then you give your server's 2 iSCSI NICs each an IP in one of those 2 subnets (e.g. 192.168.130.5 and 192.168.131.5) and let the MDSU make the connections.
