powervault md3660f ssd compatability?
Hello. We have a MD3660f that currently has 7 400GB SSDs. we are looking to add more and increase size. What ssds are compatible with MD3660F?
Are the dell branded ssds only compatible or will non dell branded work?
Thank you

Hello dellalcp,
Here is the link to the support matrix and if you look on page 20-28 it list out all the supported drives. https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/powervault-md3200_support-matrix_en-us.pdf
Only the physical disk drives with a Dell EMC part number are supported in an MD3xxx.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you. Would Dell K49V9 disks work?

A quick search in the pdf that was linked does not mention that part number, so assume it is not supported.
Also; no Intel drives of any kind are listed in that compatibility matrix, which makes it more likely that it indeed wouldn't work.

Hello dellalcp,
Dell K49V9 is a server HDD. As Dev Mgr stated & I posted in my first post if the HDD is not listed in the support matrix then it is not supported.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
