PV 132T and Arcserve issue

I have a PV 132T that I am trying to get working with Arcserve. When I hooked up the drive to the Server (Windows 2003 SP2)it detects the two LTO2 tape drives but not the medium changer. In Arcserve it sees the two tape drives as DELL PV-132T-LTO2 but no library. In Windows it show under Tape Drives two IBM ULTRIUM-TD2 SCSI Sequential Devices. I installed the driver off of the site (R105287 W2k3 x86) and the library never showed up but the tape drives turned into Dell PV 110T tape drives. I have since rolled back the driver. Arcserve cannot interact with the device because it does not see a library. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?

Go to the Menu and make sure the PV132T is in Random Mode. The Medium Changer will not show up in Device Manager with out the unit being in Random Mode.

Make sure that your cabling is from the Server to the drive in the middle (Drive 1 if you have 2 drives) and not to the outside drive. Drive 1 is the control path to the Medium Changer.

Also, since Arcserve works with SCSI protocol commands, Disable the Medium Changer and Tape Drive(s) in Device Manager and Stop and Disable Removable Storage.

Then Run the Wizard to Configure the PV132T in Arcserve.

That should get you going.
