PV TL2000 Error F3 01 00
Hi
After a reboot of my Tl2000 library (servicetag if that helps - it's long out of service) it never initialized and ended up throwing a library error F3 01 and a drive error:
Library:
Error : F3 01 00
F3: HE: drive broken: needs repair
Drive:
Event Code: 0x84 - tape alert
Drive number: 0x01, 1
Tape Alert Flag: 0x1F, 31
The library is running firmware F.11 / 3.20e and the ULT3580-HH4 (HHv1) SAS drive is running firmware C7QJ.
I have got a full drive dump as well as a forced drive dump (they seem similar in size, but as they are binary I'm unable to verify that).
From a library dump I've got these loglines:

I've read https://www.dell.com/community/PowerVault/PowerVault-TL2000-F3-01-Error/td-p/4657833 that explained to check that no tape was in the drive and then try a firmware upgrade.
Since I'm already running the latest LTO4HHv1 drive firmware (C7QJ) is that still advisable?

Hello @RMCJensD,
Well, with this kind of errors the suggested troubleshoot is power it down and then pull the drive out, then check no media is stuck and the the firmware update.
After checking your dump log, normally on A TL2000 the Error F3 01 is displayed along with Drive Broken message it can occur when not having labels on tape in conjunction with performing an erase command. The inventory will show a bad tape in the slot that the tape was sent to a long with the stating media is Unknown
The solution (besides from what I mentioned at the beginning) typically is to install barcode labels.
If this operation can't be performed or do not solve the problem, then you will need to replace the drive.
Regards,
