PV110 Event ID 9
Hi,
My PV110 attached to PE2600 and it has the latest firmware (5538). The backup last night failed, the status on Veritas 9.1 was running but 0 bytes writen. I tried to cancel the job but after 1 hour it didn't want to stop, so I restarted all bexec services. The beremote status is on starting.
I checked the event viewer and I saw event id 9, also the backup two days before took longer than before (twice).
Any idea what happened?
Thanks,

What type of tape drive is it? DDS, VS80, SDLT.....
Have you cleaned the drive recently?

Hi Bob,
It's DLT 1 40/80 and it's only 1 month old.
How often do I need to clean it? It doesn't backup alot of data, only 10 G*5 days
Thanks,
Winoto

Be sure the drivers loaded against the tape drive are VERITAS drivers. Check www.support.veritas.com for the latest version.
If you are not using RSM for any other devices disable that service and reboot.

Ok,
I just installed the driver from Veritas and disabled the RSM, I'll reboot it tonight since this server is on my branch office.
Do I need to disable RSM on the other server that connected to PV122 320 too?
Thanks,
Winoto
