Some questions regarding TL2000
Hello.
We have tl2000 with IBM ULT3580-TD4 LTO4 drive, FC interface, Finistar 4 Gbit GBIC, connected to HP DL180 G6 server with P410 RAID, 7 WD Red drives, RAID5, HP LPE1150VM FC HBA, Win 2008 R2.Tape drive firmware C7QH.
With BE 2012, backup speed is about 100-110 mbyte/sec, 6200-6500 mbytes / minute. It's quite less that it should be for LTO4. Please advise, is it possible to increase the backup speed?

Hello Icat99,
You are getting close to the max sustained speed of 120mbs that the drive can achieve. Now I know that when you look at the LTO4 drive has an FC interface that is a 6gb connection so you should be able to get a faster speed. Now the drive can do burst rate of up to 400mbs but that speed will not be sustained throughout your backup.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello Sam, thank you very much! I counted drive speed incorrectly, and I have great speed.
One more question, in A20 firmware drives divided by form factor, HH and FH with FC or SAS interface. But in new A22 firmware it stated simply LTO4, without specifying suitable drives. Can I upgrade the IBM ULT3580-TD4 FC to A22 firmware?
