split bus to joined bus
I have a PowerVault 220s, and it is currently set with a split bus to two different servers, as follows:
Server A <---> Disk Group A
Sever B <---> Disk Group B
I would like to reconfigure it to a joined bus, and add Disk Group B to Server A. It does not have to be continuous, it can be separate, but the vital part of my question is will there be any issue w/ data from Disk Group A?
I understand I will hit performance issues, but at this time, it's our only option, and should be a temporary one. Thanks .

Which server will you be disconnecting, or are you going to set up a Windows cluster?
Non-clustered servers cannot share disk access like this, as the filesystem will corrupt.

server b is being disconnected. the powervault currently is two separate volumes. basically I'd like to keep them separate, but server A only has one controller. only data in group A needs to be retain, group B is being destroyed.

Here are the steps I'd recommend:
- make a backup of your data (just in case)
- update the server that'll remain connected to the latest PERC drivers and firmware and reboot
- update the other server also to the latest PERC drivers and firmware and reboot (make sure it still sees the raid config)
- update the PV220S firmware to the latest if it isn't already
- shut down the server you're about to disconnect and then disconnect it
- shut down the server that'll remain connected and will be taking over the whole enclosure
- power off the PV220S
- change the PV220S to the single bus mode to joined (should be the top position per figure 1-6 here)
- power up the PV220S and give it a minute to spin up the drives
- power up your remaining server
- verify in the OS that the disks are visible and check in Dell's OpenManage Server Administrator that the raid is clean
