Terminator for PV TL2000
I have PE2900 with 5/e SAS adapter and PV TL2000 connected to server with one cable. Do I HAVE TO terminate the second SAS interface on the library. Just to clarify. If "yes", can I use iSAS-88LB Loopback Adapter for Mini-SAS 26-ckt SFF-8088 in this case, coz no any terminator was handled with the library from vendor.

I have a problem. In Computer Management console there are two devices: MediumChanger
(IBM TotalStorage 3573 Tape Library) and Tape drive (IBM ULT3580-TD4 SCSI Sequential Devise). Tape
drive with exclamation mark (Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware). So when I try to
configure device in BrightStore ARCserve Backup, application stucks. OnceARCserve recognized library, but
started updating slots and this process wasn't complited, it continued for 2 days(!) without any success.
So in this case I thought about terminator for second SAS interface on the library, maybe it should be terminated somehow?

Also; backup applications use their own drivers. If Windows has a driver installed for the device it could cause the Windows native backup service/application to get a lock on the drive/changer and prevent the backup application from using it.
Did you try disabling the device in device manager and then see if Arcserve can then use the device?

I resolved the problem by re-installing drivers for Tape Drive. Now Windows can see it normaly as the ARCserve.
But find out a new one... In specification list (for BrightStore ARCserve) listed that PV TL2000 should have 74H8 FW version. I have newer 8371. I tried to downgrade FW, but recieved an error: "Invalid FW type". Is it possible to downgrade FW?
