Upgrading Powervault 114x LTO Generation

Question

Hello all,

I have a Powervault 114x with an LTO6 drive in. I need to upgrade to LTO8. I have an internal Quantum LTO-8HH deck that I would like to swap the original LTO6 deck out with.

Is that possible?

I would think so but not 100% sure. best thing you can do is open the lid and look, some lto's do have differant power connectors but i think thats more library based lto's

i dont see why not aslong as the internal connectors to the drive are the same
