Dell Precision 3650: Ubuntu 20.04 problem with onboad ethernet or looking for IPX bootable supported USB network card model

Dell Precision 3650 with Ubuntu 20.04 minimal installation, e1000e driver loaded but the integrated ethernet does not show up as ethernet interface. Does show up in lspci. Driver version 3.8.4, which should, according to https://github.com/koljah-de/e1000e-dkms-debian/blob/master/README.md have initial support for Intel Corp. Ethernet Connection (14) I219-LM (8086:15f9). 

I am planning to use Dell Adapter - USB-C - Ethernet (PXE Boot, which is required) instead of the built-in ethernet. However, when I looked for the supported computers list, Precision 3650 was not there! 

Also the 3650 pdf offered the following network cards as expansion:

Integrated: Intel® Ethernet Connection I219-LM 10/100/1000 
Optional: 2nd Ethernet Connection (RJ-45) up to 2.5Gbps
Optional: Intel® 10/100/1000 PCIe Gigabit Networking card Aquantia® AQtion™ AQN-108 5/2.5 GbE NIC Adapter 

Optional 2nd Ethernet Connection (RJ.45) up to 2.5Gbps is available with a new computer, whatever the code for that part is.

So, I am looking for answers
1) A confirmation that Dell Adapter -USB-C DBQBCBC064 supports PXE boot in Precision 3650 and is supported in Ubuntu 20.04.
2) A confirmation that even if Precision 3650 is Ubuntu certified, e1000e driver 3.8.4, which should include support for the network adapter does not correctly work with Precision 3650/Ubuntu 20.04 combination and I should look / wait for a working driver.
3) Information of a known good, at bios level IPX compatible Ethernet adapter for Dell Precision 3650 which is supported in Ubuntu 20.04 without problems.

Note that Precision 3650 appears to have newer version of bios compared to many older machines. This is why I need confirmation that Dell Adapter - USB-C DBQBCBC064 can do IPX boot in Dell Precision 3650. If it does work in some earlier Dell computers it might not work in Precision 3650. The BIOS level IPX support is also an issue here. I am running default BIOS 1.5.2 just fine, so I will update it only if there is a confirmed issue with the older bios version and the behavior of the Ethernet card.
