Dell Precision 5820 Tower boot loop when Nvidia Tesla P100 is installed.
So this is probably a pretty obscure issue but I'm having trouble getting my Dell Precision 5820 to post when a have a Tesla P100 in either of the x16 capable PCIe slots (Slot2 and Slot4). It just boot loops forever.
I do have "Memory Map IO above 4GB" enabled within the BIOS and have tried disabling CSM but still no luck.
The P100 does work in my X570 desktop with no issue so I don't believe there is an issue with the card.
I'm using a separate power supply for the P100 to the Dell while I wait for a PCIe-EPS power adapter (The P100 uses 8-pin EPS instead of PCIe but the Dell only has spare PCIe connectors) although I don't see why this would be an issue as this also works in my desktop.
I'm aware that the Tesla P100 is a server card and also requires external cooling but I have a solution for that.
The Dell currently has a Xeon W-2145 and 4x32GB 2400MHz DDR4.

What size is the PSU you are using as that GPU requires a 600W PSU?

@JOcean The Precision 5820 has a 950W PSU and I was powering the P100 from a separate 750W one while I wait for the PCIe-EPS adaptor.

The 5820 was introduced in 2018. Make sure you have the latest BIOS that's for your 5820.
First, before doing that, replace the size 2032 battery if it's 5+ years old. Bad batteries have been know to cause boot loop and other problems.

@bradthetechnut A very interesting and unique approach. I have to believe this is not your average computer "geek". It would appear to be successful but I for one am not a big fan of mods like this as it may seem straightforward, but the average user could cause some serious problems like shorting out a PSU if they have no idea what should be done.

So I was having this exact issue with two GTX Titan X cards installed in an 5820 with a 950W power supply. The system would power on and sit for about 10-15 seconds before shutting down and powering back up (nothing at all on the monitor). I ended up getting it to boot with the following procedure:
1) Power on the system
2) Wait about 5 seconds and then press and hold the power button.
3) The system will power off after a few seconds but keep holding the button for a total of 30 seconds.
4) After 30 seconds release the button.
5) Wait a few seconds and then press the power button. In my case, the system powered on a few seconds and then turned off and back on again. At that point, it successfully booted.
