Dell Precision 5820 Tower
I just ran an update and am now receiving an error message of 2 amber and 6 while lights. The error reportedly means a motherboard chipset error.
Does anyone know if the update is related to this error? Also, does this error message imply that the motherboard is bad or a component on it is?
Thanks.

The chipset is a component on the MB. If it is indeed having a problem then the cure is to replace the MB. But as @mazzinia has posted, which update did you install and was the system working properly up until that update? If it was a BIOS update that could be the source of the problem if the update failed at some point.
