Dell Precision T3610 no post when using HDMI
Hello,
I have a Dell T3610. I wanted to use the HDMI port on the computer to connect with a HDMI based monitor. After turning on the computer it did not post and the diagnostic LEDs showing 1 and 2 on. The computer was locked up and did not respond to ctrl-alt del. Had to pull the mains cable to power off.
I tried other video cards (both ATI and original Nvidia), monitors, and cables, but the problem did not go away. I also tried the other PCI-e x16 slot with no resolution. As a last resort, loaded BIOS defaults and it still not working.
BIOS is A19
PSU is 420W.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Nic

How was the working condition of the system prior to a video card test? How to load BIOS defaults when system could not POST?
For starter, let give it a new coin cell battery and clear CMOS via jumper. Test with known working graphics cards, preferably OEM cards, to access BIOS settings for Secure Boot enable/disable option.
