Dell T7610 - problem with Hyper Treading after installing 2 Intel Xenon E5 2697 V2
Hi, after installing two Intel Xenon E5 2697 V2, the system cannot detect them. I only see one CPU (12 cores/24 threads) in the task manager. After entering the BIOS, I see 2 processors, I swapped them in the sockets to check if they work correctly - everything is ok. Disabling Hypertreading allows the system to detect two processors at the same time (24 cores/24 treads) and everything works stably. However, I would like to take advantage of the full capabilities and also enable HT support - how to do it?

@mazzinia_ yes, same stepping and revision. Before 2x 2697 V2 there were installed 2x 2620 V2 and everything was ok with Hyper Treading.

In this case is down to the bios firmware, I guess

I have upgraded BIOS to the newest version, is it possible to make reroll to older one? I made upgrade of BIOS version before CPU swap.

As far as I know, yes you can. ( you cannot go back to v1.x bios once moving to v2.x , but that's the only limitation )
