Does 3460 SFF support 14th CPUs?

Hi!

My computer is a 3460 SFF(13th Gen CPU on shipping) . Can I upgrade the processor to a 14th Gen one? (Mainborad P/N: 08PFGW)

The spec page at Dell support and the sales page here do in fact indicate the 14th Gen CPU is compatible. However if you have the i9-13900 then installing a 14th Gen CPU is a small incremental update.

@Blank_Wang That sales page lists a number of 14th Gen upgrades from the i5-13500.

    Go here

    Intel® Core™ i9 processors (14th gen)

I would recommend the i9 14900 CPU and DDR5 5600MHz Memory with this CPU installed.

Minimum 8GB Maximum 192GB , 64GB is usually a good amount for this CPU

    So any Gen 13 and 14 CPU's will work with this motherboard i3, i5, i7 and i9

Or if you are on a budget the i5 14500 but only supports up to DDR5 4800MHz Memory

Intel Core i5 processor 14500 24M Cache up to 5.00 GHz Product Specifications

Make sure your BIOS is up to date before you upgrade!!

There's only one user claiming to use an i7-14700 in a 3460 in userbenchmark; so I don't know if I would trust it.
