Intel Processor Identification Utility say no Intel Virtualization Technology
I have two Dell Precision 7810 workstations, both with 2 x Intel E5-2637 V4 3.5 GHz processors. They are both at BIOS version A34. Both have virtualization enabled in the BIOS (this is the default). I have installed the same version of the Intel Processor Identification Utility (6.6.15.0316) on both workstations. Under CPU Technologies, one of the workstations shows that it has both Intel Virtualization Technology and Intel VT-x with Extended Page Tables. The other workstation says that it has neither of these. However, if I run Windows 10 Task Manager and look under the Performance tab, it shows that virtualization is enabled on both machines. I was able to successfully install Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1.22 on both 7810's and create a working Fedora 34 VM.
Any ideas?
Thanks
