Light flickering on and off repeatedly

I have a Precision 3420 workstation. Today I turned it on and its light turned amber to white as if it's turning on, but then it shut down and the light turned amber again after a short while. this occurred repeatedly until I turned it off. I've tried draining the power and resetting it, to no use. Is there another way i could fix this?
