Precision 5820 BIOS crash

Originally delivered with Ubuntu. Then reinstalled to company's Win10 and got it killed.

After Windows 10 installation, the desktop gets totally dead,
the only sign of life is the crash output of BIOS startup
what can seen on serial port:

Of course there is no any DELL picture nor other activity on monitor.

We have at office 3 desktops, two of them are dead because of "successful" MS Windows 10 installation.

The third one is still working as it uses Redhat Fedora.

From Linux startup I can see which version of BIOS is on Linux machine:

DMI: Dell Inc. Precision 5820 Tower/0X8DXD, BIOS 1.2.0 11/15/2017

what I guess was the original BIOS version also on those two ones, which are now dead.

I tried some sort of BIOS resurgence (put some bios file to the usb flash, press esc+ctrl and power box) but nothing changed.

Any idea how to revive?

PS: Dell knows about it, but because of lack of motherboards we are on queue only ... (yeh, we bought "next buss day" support ONLY :( )

retyping a second time after Dell page crashed so apologies if a little curt !

1) No bios update
2) Had been runing Win 10 for ages without power off just fine
3) got into bios fine (with batt in and not messed with ) to boot from USB - Fedora
4) Half succeeded x2 getting to Gnome splash screen then froze.
5) Went back into bios to enable Legacy boot/rom options
6) Then got blank screen, no POST issues as originally.

Would be very interested given my fix above, on advice if Dell would "repair" given it's booting fine via UEFI (with CMOS battery sat on my mouse mat!!). Any advice here very welcome !

But it's been a great lesson and tutorial for me about what the fuss regarding UEFI is all about !!

Just in case, a test could be to put a brand new, fresh cr2032 battery
