Precision T5500 won't boot
Precision T5500 dual-Xeon workstation previously working fine, suddenly won't boot when front panel power switch is pressed. No light (green or amber) appears in the power switch and no other front panel LEDs appear lit. Nothing appears on the monitor screen.
I start with the power cable unplugged and only the monitor cable attached. When I plug in the cable, the front panel lights flash momentarily and fans turn briefly. If I then press and hold the test button on the power supply, the adjacent LED lights up steady green and stays lit. The power supply, system, second CPU riser, and video card fans spin, the optical disk LED lights momentarily, and the front panel hard disk LED lights steadily but no other front panel LEDs light and the system doesn't boot. I do notice that an amber LED on the lower-right corner of the motherboard lights and remains lit even for some time after mains power is removed (while capacitors drain, I suppose).
What's the most likely cause? What are my chances of being able to repair it?

Only some ideas that are in this thread.
Try replacing the size 2032 CMOS battery if it's 5+ years old. Bad batteries can cause boot problems.
Unplug the SSD and power on. If MB is good, it'll tell you no bootable device found.
Immediately upon startup, repeatedly press F12 for the Boot and Diagnostics menu. Run diagnostics.
If none of that works, hopefully you're on to something with the RAM.

Changed to newer battery, issues present.
MB does see if no HDD is present. So this is ruled out (probably).
Diganostics have been run here & in Hyrens...no errors found.
Running now with newer 1333MHz memory, populated as instructed 1~3 & 7~9 with 8GB chips. MEMtest & Windows Memory Diag tools came with flying colors.
With Hyrens 15.2, I am able to boot to Windows XP...but Windows 7 does not work?
Neither does Windows 7 on USB install.
It either reboot or gives error on Winload.exe file on Windows 7 or Windows 10.
Running AHCI setting. Tried even moving SATA cable from 0 to 1.
Moved mouse to other USB, as it is "erratic" in BIOS.
Do I need to reflash the BIOS?
Or chek if my Windows installs work? But they seemed to be OK just 6m ago...
