Precision T5600 and Tesla K80
Good morning everybody,
When I plug the K80 into my T5600, the computer runs but it gives me just a black screen :). I would like to ask you about the compatibility while using nvidia Tesla K80 in my dell T5600. Is that possible?
I also prepared some additional fans to solve thermal problems, already used this for my Tesla K10.
My rig: 2x E5 2670 ; 128GB 1600MHz RAM, Quadro P400, SSD 512GB, PSU 825W.

The Nvidia Quadro 6000 is 295w. Therefore, it should be able to power a 300w Tesla K80 if compatible with SERR Messages off.

With the T5600 being a little older, BIOS may need updating if it hasn't been done already.

Hi thanks for your help, I tried that option. My dell is a t7820. I have tried everything but nothing works

One more thing I can think of. Have you tried turning off Secure Boot in BIOS? One of our long-time Rockstars mentions that for non-Dell cards.

I do not use Secure Boot to try the Tesla K80 with my T7810. I might be important.

Hi, yes it is turned off. I tried with a tesla m40 and the same problem, looks that it is a problem with the dell t7820 series. This is so fat what I have already tried and my configuration:
Dell T7820
Dual Xeon silver 4114
128 Gb Memory
PCIe NVme 1Tb
Quadro p2000
Tesla k80 properly cooled
Things that I have tried
1. Test the card in all PCI slots
2. Setting memory map to above 4Gb
3. Disable Serr messages
4. Test the tesla on another computer (it works fine)
5. Set the configuration for PCI to auto, gen1, gen26. Try an external PSU for the GPU
7. remove one of the processors
8. update my bios firmware
9. enable disable PCI slots
10. Turn on/off secure boot
11. Balance resources to all PCI ports, give more resources to the port where the tesla is connected
Something really curious that I tried and partially worked was to remove the p2000 and boot the workstation with the tesla. It actually worked the computer finally started windows. I know that because I connected to it through Remote desktop but the tesla device was not properly working and I got a message that says The device cannot find enough free resources that it can use code 12.
I was thinking that maybe the problem is that the motherboard. I tried with a Quadro k6000 but it worked really well not a single issue the problem is with the tesla series some incompatibility maybe.
