Question about memory polulation on Dell Precision 5820T

Greetings,

My question is the following:
I have to install to a Precision 5820 tower a new memory module of 16GB DDR4 and i don't know if it will work with the current memory population... There are already 2x8GB RAM installed and from what i have read in the manual there is no memory plan that includes both 8 GB and 16GB modules working together... Does anyone know if the the modules can properly work together and in what slot must i install the new one?
Any help is appreciated...

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for you reply.

I have already found and read the manual and tomorrow i am going on site to try and install the memory module.

My question was if i can deviate from the recorded memory planning as seen on page 61 of the 5820T owner's manual and install a total of 3 DIMM's of memory (e.g.16GB in DIMM1, 8GB in DIMM2 and 8GB in DIMM4). Although its not seen in the manual, would the system memory still be properly increased or will i have to step on unknown ground?

Thank you for your time and effort.
