Resizable BAR

Question

Hello! I have Dell T5820 XL Tower and RTX 3080 Ti. I can't enable Resizable BAR for GPU because no option for that in MBO BIOS. Can DELL  make some new BIOS with this option?

Hello,

first of all, all firmware updates offered by dell are working only on cards manufactured for dell ( or hdd/ssd sold as dell parts ).

For cards manufactured by others, either check if the maker has some update or if nvidia has something directly available.

Secondly, the bios of the computer must also support resizable bar, and as far as I know, is not an option offered in the 5820/7820/7920 bios

This firmware supports Resizable BAR feature to improve the gaming performance.

It's compatible with Precision 3640, 3650, 5820, 7820, 7920, all XL included.

I have RTX 3080 Ti not RTX 3080 and this update is incombatible with my GPU.

If you follow the link, scroll down and look at compatible systems, you will see a list of all supported machines including the Precision 5820 XL.

How were those machines compatible with one graphics card and not the others, I would not know.
