T5600 Sometimes stuck on Dell screen and usb issues
Hi all.
So i brought home from work a Dell Presion T5600.
It had a ramsome ware virus so work was getting rid of it.
I installed a new "dodgy" copy of windows.
Installed some more ram, just becasue i could. It had 32 installed already and i added 2 more 16 sticks so 64 in total.
so now it has the 4 sticks of the original 8gb and i added the 2 more 16gb. It has 2 cpu's so now each one had 2 sticks of 8 and 1 of the new 16gb
Got a Pci wifi card for it.
Worked perfectly for a while.
After a while it started not booting sometimes, getting stuck on the dell screen. Also sometimes i couldnt get into the Bios as the usb keyboard wouldnt work while booting, even though it lights up and shows power.
So i bought a new SSD and installed a new legit copy of windows.
Now it still sometimes dosnt boot, just gets stuck on the Dell screen, and also sometimes the keyboard wont work to get into the Bios.
I did the hardware test that you can do through the Dell website and all is good with the hardware.
Also i turned off the quick start option as i have seen this refered to.
I tried to take out the Raid controller and pluged the ssd into the motherboard but it looks like i dont have the driver for it. Though it works through the Riad controller.
Any ideas?

They all run great ( I've nothing against older ones, they fit the bill for plenty of things still ), just cost more to operate ( energy consumption )

No.
But ill try that.
I also added a new Gaphics card.
Yes, it is a bit of an old machine, but runs great when its on.
