T5810 does not boot fans go crazy

Hi pals,

Kind of strange situation: I had fresh Windows 8.1 installed on my tower and yesterday decided to install missing drivers from the official dell web site. Installed SmartAssist. It detected 3 new drivers  to be installed,  2 of which were "inf" files for motherboard devices. Update went well and everything was good. In the evening computer was shut down normally. In the mid of night it turned on by itself and fans started to blow like a vacuum cleaner. Since then it does not turn on. Diagnostic light is off all the time, it does not reach POST stage, all fans on a maximum. Tried to pull out/shuffle memory and GPU, but it did not change anything. I want to check power supply and if that does not help I suspect something might be wrong with the motherboard. Would appreciate any hints what can be checked in addition.

You might get a better response if you repost this in the Precision Workstation Forum.

Was some task scheduled to run in middle of the night, eg Windows Update or some other software updater?

When was last time the motherboard battery was replaced and/or did you try clearing BIOS?

Thanks for pointing me to Precision forum. I re-posted there and added info that I tried to clear CMOS. Not sure about Windows update, it is possible. System setup was default after installation.
