Unable to upgrade 5810 BIOS
I am having difficulty trying to update our 5810 machines to the latest A33 BIOS.
We were able to update the BIOS via SCCM without any issues but going trying to upgradge to A33 does not seem to work, the task sequence runs without error, the logs indicate that the BIOS upgrade has applied succesfully but checking afterwards the BIOS version is still the same.
Has anyone else come across this issue before when trying to run a BIOS updates via SCCM?

Hi @SamL88,
Were you able to obtain a solution from @DELL-Cares?
Not sure if this thread might help? It doesn't mention SCCM though. https://www.dell.com/community/Desktops-General-Read-Only/Problem-Flashing-BIOS-on-a-Precision-T5810/td-p/5132160
Now migjt be a good time to replace CMOS the battery if it hasn't been in the last 5 years. A low battery will cause all sorts of bizarre problems. I suggest either Duracell or Energizer as Sony only lasted me 2 years. Better deals on Amazon than in store.

Hi @bradthetechnut,
I did not think of trying that but I will give it a go. Thanks!
There is no warning for the CMOS battery when we are booting the machines which I would have expected but did you also have this as well?

I don't know what the voltage threshold is, if a battery has to be practically dead before the low voltage warning comes up. But I've been on this forum over 2 yrs. and noticed problems can often develop from a low battery before the low voltage warning shows up.
You may need to write down any custom settings you have in BIOS first.
