Weird memory issue with 3630
I've currently got a case open with Dell support about this but they can't seem to figure it out. I've had this 3630 for about two months. I ordered it with 32 (2x16) gigs of ram. However when the memory is in the white slots on the board it only see's 16. The other stick doesn't even show in the bios as being in the slot. If I swap the memory around, same thing. Same slot shows the memory, but the other one nada. I tried memory from another 3630, and again. Same thing. I've done two motherboard swaps, and yet again. Same thing. I can't find any settings or anything that need to be changed, and Dell support seems to be stumped. Right now it's being escalated to an engineer, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience or ideas with something similar?

memory cannot be mixed ranks, voltage, speed ,density, buffered and ecc and and and. Max Unbuffered DDR4 SDRAM: 64GB
Compatible ram must be installed in pairs. Sounds like damaged ram slot OR you are not putting ram into the correct slots. The pairs are 1 then 3 2 then 4. Not 1 then 2 3 then 4. White ears are Bank 0 and Black Ears are bank 1.

Hi
I have the same problem. I install more two memory (equal memory 2666mhz) but the frequency drop down for 2400Mhz. Why and I can resolve?
Be sure to use matching Dell OEM memory sticks, not retail unmatching memory.
