Dell 7520 security updates

Hi,

I have asked in the german forum some time ago with now answer and the support (still paid) too. From the support I got also no answer:

I have installed a DW5811e LTE card in my Precision 7520. This is based on the Sierrawireless EM7455 design.
The Precision 7520 download area shows driver 7.54.4799.502 from 2018. Sierrawireless has updated the driver several times in the meantime. Last to fix a security vulnerability. For the Latitude 7212, Dell made this driver available with the fixed vulnerability at the end of 2020 (version 7.75.5043.504).

For the "ControlVault2" there would also be a newer driver for almost all devices 4.12.6.15 A22 with "support for the Microsoft MDA validation tool requirements" i.e. better compatibility with the current smart card interface instead of 4.12.5.8 A21 as offered with the 7520.

It would be great if you could provide both.

Thank you for help!

It is a pity that dell isn't currently able to offer a more up-to-date driver for a product in this price range. Even if it is no longer the most up-to-date system. Especially with the LTE module of the SierraWireless EM7455 (DW5811e), for example, the firmware from Dell is version v18, that from SierraWireless is version v29 and a lot of errors have really been fixed....
