My Laptop just went off while on the charger and now it doesn't switch on. Any idea what could be the issue

When you plug in the adapter, does the light on the adapter turn off? You can try a reset. Disconnect the battery and the adapter. Then press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Then reconnect everything and try to power the system on. Are you seeing any blinking LEDs on the system at all?
