Dell Precision 3571 Docking station?
Hi,
I got new Precision laptop 3571, Intel Core i7-12700H vPro Essentials (24 MB cache, 14 cores, 20 threads, 2.30 GHz to 4.70 GHz, 45W)
I used the dock HP USB-C Dock G5 that I had previously used, and it worked. My setup consists of two 1080p external monitors and 2-4 USB ports.
Recently, I've been having problems with the docking station only on this laptop, other laptops work find; the monitors disconnect when left idle, or the system crashes when I start the machine. I'm not sure what's causing it; I tried installing the HP dock drivers but had no luck. Any ideas why this is happening so suddenly and how to fix it?
I started to look at dell docking station and dell recommends Dell Universal Dock - UD22 .
Is there any cheaper alternative you recommend as I need 2-3 of them and UD 22 are pricey.
I was looking into older Dell docking station and I found D6000, will they work for this model?
Also I found WD19, I can see model S for them and also for 130w or 180w, will they work, if so which one?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Binny

You will want the 180w docking station as it will provide up to 130w of power to the laptop. The laptop takes a 130w charger normally, so a 130w won't deliver enough power and the laptop will pop up a warning message each boot (unless you disable it), then the system will run slightly slower to accommodate for less power.
