Identifying crispy chips on 5530 and 5540 motherboards

I have a Precision 5530 and a Precision 5540.  Both were plagued with the common "won't charge over USB C," then "won't recognize OEM charger" and finally the 5530 won't charge at all.

I've already replaced the batteries, and interestingly when I put a fully charged battery in the 5530, within 30 seconds it plummeted alarmingly to 5-6% and got hot.

The 5540 still will charge on AC.... for now... but I'm pretty concerned about that based on what I found.

So I did a little poking around, and both units have a chip that seems to have melted through the heatshield and look a little... worse for wear.

I think the magic smoke has been let out of the 5530's....

Maybe that's why the motherboard needs to be replaced for these charging issues? lol

Can anyone identify these chips?  I assume it's something in charge management - I'm curious as to what their job is now.

Thanks!

They're definitely Alpha Omega power MOSFETS, used to control high power circuits -- and yes, they appear to need replacement.  Even if you do replace the evidently overheated ones, the question as to what caused the issue remains, making a repair an academic exercise -- not an economic one.  The only sure repair is a replacement board.  Unless you have the tools, expertise and a source of the chips at hand, the cost of a repair with labor will likely be on par with what a mainboard replacement will cost.
