Replace RAID 0 system hard drives with SSD on Precision M6700.
Hello everyone,
I have a Precision M6700 portable workstation with 2 HDDs mounted in RAID 0. One of the disks is starting to show signs of weakness and I want to replace them with a high-capacity SSD. I am looking for the exact procedure for configuring the new SSD (BIOS...) as well as the order of installation for Dell drivers.
Thank you.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

I have installed fresh images of Windows on an M6700 several times, such as with Samsung 860 Evo SSDs and then with Samsung 870 Evo SSDs. I find that the drivers that Windows 10 automatically installs run better than the drivers provided and singled out by Dell specifically for the M6700, so that is my suggestion. I have never set up Raid 0, so will not comment on that.

One exception to my comment above involves software/drivers for the trackpad. Dell no longer makes available the software that shipped with the M6700 for adjusting the trackpad, nub-pointer, and trackpad buttons. I prefer to keep the trackpad off and need a driver from Dell for this - Windows does not auto-load it.
