1600n, on my wireless network?

Getting ready to purchase a 1600n for my office. We want to be able to share it and place it near two people which of course is on the other side of the office nowhere near the DSL and router are set up. I've already read that wireless print servers interfere with the 1600n, but has anyone had any luck with just connecting it to an ethernet bridge?

Any help would be really appreciated, the purchase landed on me and I'm not too excited about spending the bosses money and not making this work right.

Thanks
Kyle

Linksys Wireless Print servers does NOT work with the 1600n. The only way I got my printer to work with my wireless network is to purchase another router and bridge two wireless routers together.

Hope that helps.

from what i have been able to read, you can use a wireless bridge since the 1600n has a built in print server...  i will know for sure in a couple days when my ethernet bridge comes in :)

OK I'm all set at work, got a new 4700, the 1600n is on n ethernet bridge. Setupp too a few more minutes to get the bridge set-up.  Installed the software and found the printer fine. All of a sudden the next problems popped up.

The scanner doesn't work over the network!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ahve to admit this was an important part of getting theprinter and apparentley it should be able to. I searched the forum and found out the there's a firmware update thats supposedto let itbut that didn't do anything.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I Read that article, it's talking about updating the network bios to ver 1.11, I have 1.08 so i need the update but i can't find that file in the download section.

Im guessing thay by updating the bios that that will also give me the option to enable network scan in the maintanence section?

I just updated my firmware tonight and it works fine.  I don't like that you can't network scan from the PC.  But atleast you can scan from the printer to the PC on the network.
