1700 vs 1710 toner
We have both a 1700n and a 1710 laser printer. We ordered a toner cartridge for the 1710 and when it came the box said it was for a 1700/1710 printer. Comparing the 2 toner cartridges that were currently in the printer we found out they look completely diffrent in size and shape. So do both printers use compatible toner. We would like to know if we can buy cartridges that will work for both or if we need to purchase both seperately. Thanks

The print cartridges are the same. I'm wondering if you mistakenly pulled out the cartridge along with the imaging drum on one of them. (It is removable, too).
