2155cdn Suddenly Shows "PDL Request 016-720 Data Violation"
We used our printer without any problems a few days ago.
Suddenly, we get the above error message and cannot resolve it. We have tried to print both Word (pre-2013) and PDF files, with the same result.
How can we resolve this? We have documents we need to print and email within 40 hours. It is now 7 PM Central Standard Time in the United States.

This just started happening to me. I followed the suggestion to go to the Maintenance menu and reset System settings to defaults. But I also installed the latest Firmware on the printer and the latest XPS_2155 drivers on the computer. Between doing all 3 of these things, I have printed again without further issues. If you are worried about resetting settings to defaults, you can just upgrade the firmware and the printer drivers on your computer, I suspect that would have resolved it but I can't confirm since I did all 3 steps consecutively without trying again in-between. The Firmware and XPS drivers are on the support.dell.com drivers page for the 2155cdn printer.
